Beyoncé is donating to fire relief efforts in Southern California.

The “16 Carriages” singer’s BeyGOOD charity foundation officially announced last night that it was donating $2.5 million to the newly-established LA Fire Relief Fund.

“The fund is earmarked to aid families in the Altadena/Pasadena area who lost their homes, and to churches and community centers to address the immediate needs of those affected by the wildfires,” the foundation shared on Instagram.

Beyoncé founded BeyGOOD in 2013 to “provide resources worldwide.” The foundation assists people with economic disparities, supports non-profits in marginalized communities, and provides relief resources and educational scholarships, among other work.

Many organizations and business have donated funds to help with the relief efforts towards the continuing fires in Southern California.

According to reports, 24 people have died, according to the County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner. Eight of the deaths were attributed to the Palisades Fire, while 16 resulted from the Eaton Fire. More than 12,000 structures have been damaged or destroyed with the fires engulfing more than 40,000 acres as of Sunday, according to CalFire.

The Grammy award winning singer has another announcement to make this week. The superstar took to Instagram recently to tease Jan.14 in a video. It is still unclear exactly what the singer is planning to announce.

Stay tuned for more updates!
